About CLM
The client base is now a mix of traditional estates, family farms and new ownership large and small. Farms and estates in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset are run with varying levels of involvement. Some London property, domestic, office and light industrial properties are also managed as part of larger portfolios.
Inter-generational transfer is an area of skill bringing together a mix of financial, personal and strategic management skills, and we can achieve this by building on our experience with home farms and families. The mix of grey hair and young brains makes a great combination.
January 2005 saw the development of a dynamic team led by Anthony Weston specialising in the environment, with specific reference to Environmental Stewardship. Kevin Jay joined CLM in October 2005 also specialising in environmental issues. Environmental Audits, Local Authority Land Surveys and BAP species projects are now successfully being completed.
Ian Smith has been working with the CLM team since 2006. Ian runs a successful farming business in East Kent and brings a wealth of shooting experience to the team.
2007 has seen the addition of Sharon Iles and
Matthew Berryman to the CLM fold. Sharon is an experienced
finance manager now in charge of many of our clients’ books and
budgets. Matthew adds strength to CLM's farm and estate
management team, with over 15 years experience of providing farm business
advice originally in Yorkshire, the Midlands and Eastern
Counties and more recently in the South East particularly within
Sussex and Surrey.
The concept at inception was the COMPLETE management of the
farm, LAND, environment, built estate, family, staff and
lifestyle – skilful MANAGEMENT of the asset in all its forms.
