About Us

To utilise fully the potential of your farm or land requires expert knowledge, not just of farming techniques, but also of conservation targets, funds & grants, landscape management, marketing and rural planning. We have the experience and knowledge to make your land a physical and financial success.

The CLM team

Complete Land Management was launched by Mark Weaver and Tim Calcutt in May 2004. Evolving from a farming partnership in Kent, Surrey and Sussex we have been giving Muddy Boots advice since 1980. Hands on arable, beef, dairy and sheep farming results in a very grounded approach to farm management.

Generation shifts, adoption of new farming technology and radical approaches to land ownership and management have all been successfully achieved - a visible track record.

The client base is now a mix of traditional estates, family farms and new ownership large and small. Farms and estates in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset are run with varying levels of involvement. London property, domestic, office and light industrial properties are also managed as part of larger portfolios.

Inter-generational transfer is an area of skill bringing together a mix of financial, personal and strategic management skills, and we can achieve this by building on our experience with home farms and families.

January 2005 saw the development of a dynamic team led by Anthony Weston specialising in the environment, with specific reference to Environmental Stewardship. Ecological Assessments, European Protected Species and habitat surveys are now successfully being completed.

2007 saw the addition of Matthew Berryman to the CLM fold. Matthew strengthens CLM's farm and estate management team, with over 15 years experience of providing farm business advice originally in Yorkshire, the Midlands and Eastern Counties and more recently in the South East particularly within Sussex and Surrey.

2008 was an extremely busy and exciting year. CLM completed the acquisition of Humberts, Edenbridge, formerly Fox and Manwaring. The Edenbridge office has since been rebranded as Fox and Manwaring Limited. This acquisition has added strength to CLM's existing lettings service, rural estate management and surveying team. Fox and Manwaring also has a sales office, successfully selling a range of property from flats and town houses to country houses and farms.

The storm that surrounded 2009 has taken CLM into new areas of work including business restructuring, business sales and property development, outside the rural sphere. Good management skills are transferable and the CLM team helped clients make difficult decisions in 2009. Building success continues despite the recession.
