The History
CLM was launched by Mark Weaver and Tim Calcutt in May 2004, evolving from a farming partnership based in Kent, Surrey and Sussex that had been providing hands on management to arable, dairy, beef, and sheep farmers since 1980.
In January 2005 we introduced a dynamic team led by Anthony Weston specialising in Environmental Stewardship also undertaking Ecological Assessments for planning applications and property development.
2007 saw the addition of Matthew Berryman to strengthen CLM's farm and estate management team with over 20 years experience of providing farm management and business advice in Yorkshire, the Midlands, the Eastern Counties and in the South East.
In addition to our core land management business we have a residential property practice. In 2008 CLM acquired Fox & Manwaring – Kent’s oldest firm of Estate Agents - and in 2011 we merged Fox and Manwaring with Wye based property agency Calcutt Maclean Wood to form FoxWood Maclean. Operating across Kent, Sussex and Surrey, the property team is led by Sarah Wood and Nigel Maclean who each have more than 30 years of expert knowledge in the property sector. FoxWood Maclean retain the valuable expertise of Christopher Calcutt, co-founder of Calcutt Maclean, and also Simon Calcutt, former director of Fox & Manwaring.
