In 2007 the Rural Development Programme for England replaced the previous grant scheme - The England Rural Development Programme.
The current scheme is designed to support farm diversification projects such as farm shops, holiday cottages and business units but also the development of collaborative ventures between farmers with the specific objective of adding value to farm produce. Such a venture could be a collaboratively owned and managed grain store with the objective of adding value to grain.
The Regional Development Agencies e.g. SEEDA administer the RDPE scheme. Applications are submitted either directly to the relevant RDA where grant funding of £50,000 or more is required or alternatively to a Leader Local Action Group for schemes requiring less than £50,000 of grant funding and within a specific geographic area.
CLM has a successful record securing grant funding for a very wide range of projects having developed close working relationships with key personnel at SEEDA and also with the Leader LAG's. Contact Matthew, Anthony or Kevin to discuss how much grant funding your project could attract.
