Sources of funding for woodlandsEnglish Woodland Grant SchemeLaunched in 2005 EWGS is part of the Defra funded England Rural Development Programme and administered by the Forestry Commission. There are six separate grants:
Woodland holdings over 30ha must be certified to the UK Woodland Assurance Standard in order to be eligible for the Woodland Management Grant. CLM has experience of writing Woodland Management Plans that meet the standard and organising certification of woodlands for clients in advance of making WMG applications. Environmental StewardshipFunded by Defra and managed by the Rural Development Service soon to be part of Natural England Environmental Stewardship comprises three schemes.
